Ten easy step to browse internet on computer using your gprs or edge mobile as modem

1:Click on the network connection in the control panel
2:Create new  internet connection from network task placed at left top bar
3:Then a menu will be  pop up click next
4:Select connect to the internet and click next
5:In this menu select  setup my connection manually then click next
6:Select connect using dial-up modem click next
7:Use ur correct modem from the list and click next
8:Give ISP name as AIRCEL,Idea Vodafone,Airtel or Bsnl etc  click next
9:Give  *99*1#  as dialing number then click
10:Leave user-name and password blank click next and Click on Finish button you have done
Now click on the windows start button >>Connect to >>There you will see AIRCEL  and click on that and a menu will be popup then click on dial

Not-down the position of access point in data-communication profile and replace 1 with  that number

U can also give extra initialization command
Go to control panel>>modem>>select a modem{ur phone modem}>>properties advanced>>Extra initialization command then copy and past the below code

To configure gprs settings
As a new customer, you will automatically get the settings when you put in your Uninor SIM card into your mobile phone. Just save these settings.
In case you do not get the settings automatically, SMS AAL to 58355

- Just long press ´0´ on your Nokia phones-+
- Launch the WAP browser

e) Click on Save
Once you´re done, go back to Connectivity and:

d) Save the settings and return to Internet Profiles

e) Now under uninor, select more and go to Settings

f) Now enter the following details:
Connect using: uninor
Internet Mode: http
Use proxy: Yes
Proxy address: 10.58.10.58
Port No.: 9401 or 8080

Password :_____ 
g) Once you have entered all the details, click on Save
h) Now go to advance settings from the more options again
i) Select Change Homepage option and enter the following details:
Name: Uninor 
Address: http://search.techdoz.com/
Now click on Save.
k) Go back to Internet Profiles and select Uninor

Set up Vodafone live!

To access Vodafone live! on your Vodafone GPRS mobile phone, all you need to do is to activate Vodafone live! and get the settings on your Vodafone mobile phone.

To activate

Postpaid customers: SMS ACT VL to 111 (toll free).
Mumbai customers need to SMS ACT VLZERO to 111 (toll free)
Prepaid customers: SMS ACT VL to 144 (toll free).
There is no charge for activating Vodafone live!


To configure settings


As a new customer, you will automatically get the settings named Vodafone live! and Vodafone MMS when you put in your Vodafone SIM card into your mobile phone. Just save these settings.

 e) Now under Vodafone live, select more and go to Settings

f) Now enter the following details:

Use proxy: Yes
IP address: 10.10.1.100
Port No.: 9401
Username: _____
Password :_____
g) Once you have entered all the details, click on Save
h) Now go to advance settings from the more options again
i) Select Change Homepage option and enter the following details:
Name: Vodafone live
Address: http://search.techdoz.com/
j) Now click on Save.
k) Go back to Internet Profiles and select Vodafone live


To set up MMS
To manually set up MMS on your phone, follow these simple steps:
a) Go to Menu > Connectivity > Data Communication > Data Accounts

b) Now choose New Account and select Account Type as GPRS data

c) Enter New Account as Vodafone live
d) Then fill up the fields below:

APN: portalnmms
Username: _____
Password :_____

e) Now go to Messaging and select Settings

f) Go to Picture messages and select Internet profiles

g) Select New profile and enter the following details:
Name: Vodafone MMS
Connect Using: Vodafone MMS
IP address: 10.10.1.100
Username: ____
Password: ____

h) Now click on Save.

i) Now return back to Picture Messages menu
j) Enter the Message Server Address: http://mms1.live.vodafone.in/mms/
